Midland County Horseshoe Amphitheater is part of the Horseshoe Arena-Pavilion-Amphitheater complex. On over 100 acres of land, the venue is one of the largest in West Texas. Its size makes it the perfect venue for concerts of all kinds from rock to comedy. It seats up to 4,300 people for all live events with over 1,300 reserved-floor seats. General admission patrons are welcome to bring their own chairs to sit on the grass lawn on the hill. Outfitted with surround sound, the amphitheater provides an ideal outdoor music experience.
The Wagner Noël Performing Arts Center is a partnership between Midland, Odessa, and the University of Texas of the Permian Basin established to develop a national venue for live performance in West Texas. The hundreds of annual concerts demonstrate the great diversity of sound and include country singers and rock bands. The concert hall is home to the Midland-Odessa Symphony & Chorale and Live on Stage Permian Basin.
The Ector first opened its doors in 1951 in Odessa as West Texas’ newest and most modern first-run movie theater. By 2001, the venue expanded its offerings to include live performance but closed soon after. As part of the City’s downtown revitalization efforts, The Ector was completely restored and retrofitted to accommodate grand-scale live performances. The reborn theater premiered its first live show in 2021 and aims to bring world-class, live entertainment to the Permian Basin and remain a platform for local talent.
The Bar in Midland, established in 1979, is an iconic Texas venue offering delicious home-style meals, an always chock full Saturday brunch, and live music on weekends. It is a local hot spot with a popular covered patio and a boisterous vibe from Tuesday to Saturday.
