The 2022 Ford Bronco Raptor is a phenomenally robust vehicle with a hearty twin-turbo V6 engine, loads of off-road gear, bold styling updates, and comes in a number of fresh exterior colors. This machine is certain to become a legend; a bold titan of the pavement and a rugged, stylish, and dependable adventure partner.
The 2022 Ford Bronco Raptor is a 4-door colossus astride 37-inch tires beneath massively wide fenders. It is almost 10 inches wider than the standard Bronco. Unique amber LED running lights emphasize the Raptor’s blacked-out grille with its oversized Ford badge. A full-size spare tire is installed on the rear liftgate.
The Raptor Graphics package adds splatter graphics on the sides and hood. Hot Pepper Red Metallic and Eruption Green Metallic are new to the exterior color line-up for 2022, joining Velocity Blue Metallic, Shadow Black, Iconic Silver Metallic, Area 51, Cactus Gray, Cyber Orange Metallic Tri-Coat, and Oxford White. The 2022 Ford Bronco cabin is attractive but mission-orientated. The long horizontal dash is furnished with a large, vibrant 12-inch infotainment touch screen, prominent Bronco logo, and digital gauge display. Black marine-grade vinyl upholstery is standard with rubberized washout flooring. Exclusive to the Branco Raptor are Ford Performance standard front seats. Striking orange-colored accents adorn the air vents, door netting, gear selector dial, and steering wheel stitching.
More than 400 horsepower is generated from the 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 beneath the massive hood. It is mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission with unique Ford Performance tuning. The sounds from the dual exhaust system with active valves are altered based on drive mode: Normal, Sport, Quiet, and Baja. The new Baja drive mode decreases turbo lag and helps boost performance during high-speed desert runs to preserve the Bronco Raptor’s ‘GOAT’ – Goes Over Any Terrain – status. The Raptor also has a Bronco-first tow/haul mode to allow for 4,500-pound loads.
The 2022 Ford Bronco Raptor is outfitted with Ford Performance 17-inch wheels wrapped in BFGoodrich 37-inch K02 tires. Underneath, Ford Performance front and rear control arms deliver an amazing suspension travel of 13 inches up front and 14 inches in the rear. The standard Bronco’s High-Performance Off-road Stability is further enhanced by 3.1 Internal Bypass Semi-Active Dampers with position-sensing capability. Sensors at each wheel monitor and adjust suspension tuning hundreds of times every second.
An amazing suite of driver and safety aids are packed into the 2022 Ford Bronco Raptor, including, Pedestrian detection, Hill-start Assist, Automatic high-beam headlights, Post-collision braking, Automatic emergency braking, Forward-collision warning, and rear-view camera. Standard technology such as the incredible 360° camera system, Sync 4 infotainment software with over-the-air updates and advanced voice controls, and connections for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are included on the Bronco Raptor. The Lux package has a 10-speaker B&O audio system and adaptive cruise control.
